PRESIDENT'S PONDERINGS
There is nothing like being outdoors on a nice fall afternoon in a lovely garden, shaded, a cool breeze on you and everything green. It makes you think of the most amazing metaphors and the wisest bits of advice for loved ones.....unless you pulled weeds and come in after an hour bug-bit, scratched up, bleeding, itching all over, sweating and wondering what you were thinking. That is me right now.
And now I’m supposed to give my beloved quilt members my ponderings. You can probably imagine what I am not saying. Is there a parallel between quilting and gardening? Probably. You can admire the beauty of your work, but quilting is work. And you sometimes come out bleeding, burnt, frustrated, and wondering what you were thinking. And like gardening, you are never done. There always seems more to do.
If you agree, let me know at our next meeting, which is October 19th, with sew-in day the 22nd. There is a lot going on, so please read the whole newsletter. See you soon.
Sincerely,
Marcia Miller, President
A Word from 1st Vice President
