QUILTS OF VALOR

Raymore Quilt Guild (RQG) officially joined the Quilts of Valor Foundation in September 2025. Our dedicated committee consists    of six members: Ellie Upchurch, Kath Wickman, Kelly Miller, Lynn Glass, Nancy Osborn, and Laura Richardson.

We present Quilts of Valor to deserving veterans during RQG business meetings each quarter. In addition, we visit local       organizations and senior living facilities to honor veterans, and we have even had the privilege of delivering quilts directly to the     homes of homebound veterans.

Through these presentations and personal visits, our committee is honored to recognize the service and sacrifices of our veterans by wrapping them in quilts made with gratitude, comfort, and appreciation for their service to our country.

Would You Like to Get Involved?

We welcome members who would like to help us continue this meaningful mission! Whether you enjoy sewing quilt tops, piecing blocks, quilting, binding, cutting fabric, or donating patriotic fabrics and supplies, there is a place for you on our team. Every contribution helps us honor more veterans.

If you know a veteran who may be eligible to receive a Quilt of Valor, or if you would like to volunteer or learn more about our program, please contact Ellie Upchurch or Laura Richardson. Together, we can show our veterans how much their service and sacrifices mean to us.
